Town officials are looking at purchasing a large parcel of land to put in more parking lots near Mayflower Beach. This is the last thing this area can handle!! We don't need more people on the beaches or roads. Please call the Board of Selectmen or Richard White (Town Administrator) at (508) 760-6148 and let them know where you stand... NO more beach parking lots...NO more drop-offs from out-of-towners...

Call To Action
If you have spent repeat summers in Dennis, you know how beautiful, but limited our beaches are. Remember the days when you knew many of the people sitting next to you on Bayview Beach or Little Beach? We need to ensure that tradition is not lost. Please help us urge the town to address the issue of overcrowding on Dennis bayside beaches. The bumper to bumper traffic heading down Beach Street is not only an inconvenience, it is a public safety issue. The cars, trucks, and shuttle vans from area hotels continuously dropping people off, making the respites we love feel like a transit stop in a big city. We need your help! Please join our cause now, before it's too late, and what we used to love is washed away. Please call, e-mail or send a letter to the contacts below. Also, letters to the local papers would work in our favor. Thanks for your support! Dustin Pineau Beach and Recreation Director, 508-760-6162 Richard White Town Administrator (508) 760-6148 Address: PO Box 2060 485 Main Street South Dennis, MA 02660 |
